Description
Made by a team of young women, this video sets out to prove in a lively way that girls should have a chance to do anything boys do, and a mixed race group talk about their teachers’ attitudes. Young women learning plumbing, carpentry and electrical engineering talk about their skills and their friends’ attitudes, black women critcise their husbands’ chauvinist attitudes, and finally older people give their views about the contribution women make to society.
The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards. This should not diminish its value as a historic record and interest.
