Vimeo is closing down

For twelve years we have offered many of our films either to buy or rent via Vimeo on Demand’s platform allowing you to stream our films online, however the new owners of Vimeo on Demand have decided to close this platform down. We are urgently sourcing an alternative platform to offer a similar experience to our customers and will update you when we have further details.

Vimeo have delayed their shutdown, the new key dates are as follows:

August 22, 2026

New purchases and subscriptions blocked

September 21, 2026

Platform fully shut down

November 20, 2026

What’s Changing

Vimeo On Demand will no longer be available after 20th November 2026. This means:

  • Creators will no longer be able to sell content through the platform.
  • Viewers will lose access to previously purchased or rented content.
  • All VOD pages, storefronts, and purchase flows will be taken offline.

For Viewers

If you have purchased or rented content through Vimeo On Demand, you can continue watching your library until 20th November 2026.. After that date, access will no longer be available. We encourage you to download any content that supports offline viewing before the shutdown date.

What happens next?

At Concord we are looking into alternatives for Vimeo on Demand which can offer a similar experience to our customers, when we have more information on this, we will be the first to tell you.
