Working for a Pittance

This programme made in 1978 looks at the cases of firms exploiting their vulnerable workers.

Description

Shows how the mentally and physically disabled, and the elderly, are often employed on simple reptitive contract work at day centres, and paid hardly anything for it. Shows particular cases of firms that appear to be exploiting these unfortunate people.

The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
