An impression of the East Leeds Women’s Workshops, an enterprise started in 1981 to help women, especially single parents, black and Asian women and those with no further education. The women explain how they have discovered unexpected skills and fulfilment.
Made in 1984 this film reflects the cultural attitudes and language of the time it was made. The issues raised are timeless.
