Description

Is there a lack of will to work in British Industry? Does the class structure of an average factory have anything to do with our failings? This film discusses these problems and shows the sweeping changes introduced by Tannoy Ltd. at Coatbridge, Scotland, where all the little things which differentiated between manual workers, staff and senior management have been swept away. Discussions take place with all grades in this factory, and in another one which has not made a change from traditional ways. This is an important film for senior and junour management to see and for showing on business study courses.

This film made in 1977 reflects the cultural attitudes, social work procedures and language of the time it was made. The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards. But the issues raised are timeless.
