Description

In 1984, whilst the conflict known as ‘The Cold war’ was still in being. Gorbachev had not come to power in the Soviet Union. However a first attempt, using new technology, was made at mass interchange of ideas with a view to lessening tension was made by having two large gatherings of people in San Francisco and Moscow linked by large television screens. Eminent medical experts in both countries speak on the dangers of nuclear war which can so easily spread and eliminate all life as we know it on this planet. The film ends with the joint singing by childrens’ choirs in  both Moscow and San Francisco.

The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
