Description
Looks at a controversial unit for dealing with prisoners with psychiatric problems at Prestwich Hospital near Manchester. Designed to rehabilitate its patients to take their place in the world outside, Prestwich remained the only unit of its kind in the U.K. because of the widespread feeling against having such centres near major cities.
Made in 1985 this film reflects the cultural attitudes and language of the time it was made. The issues raised are timeless.
