Description
A demonstration of basic counselling skills for anyone coming in contact with people with problems, not only people in the early stages of counselling training. It demonstrates how to listen and show that you’re listening, to create the right kind of helping environment, to use questions appropriately, and to recognise the importance of what you bring to a helping relationship. It demonstrates a range of basic skill, explains what you need to be aware of when using those skills and gives clear and entertaining examples of good and bad practice.
