Londoners remember their past with nostalgia.

Description

Londoners gave always had a sense of community, partly through necessity because of harsh conditions; but now the old streets of Bermondsey have been demolished and flats have been put up. Hop picking, which used to be the annual holiday for the whole area, is now mechanised, and the good old days are remembered by the old folk with nostalgia and humour. But are the changes for the worse or better? What has been lost?
