Description

A film as part of an occasional series produced by Granada’s “World in Action” team. The series looks at Britain’s faltering economy and asks why U.K. industry cannot compete with it’s European neighbours.

In this film, the team visit different companies to see examples of job enrichment – a foundry, a large office, a high-quality engineering firm and finally a tannery where no improvement seems possible and yet there is no staff turnover.

The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
