Description

Professional groups, church groups, disarmament groups and new faces from all over the country have joined together in the support of the basic freeze statement: “We call for a world-wide halt to the testing, production and deployment of nuclear weapons and their delivery systems as a first step to meaningful reductions in nucelar arms. No further nuclear weapons should be deployed anywhere. This video outlines the basic principles of the Freeze through the words of fourteen people representing all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. Their unscripted comments allow the viewer to piece together the meaning of the Freeze. That is, a place where people who have had little or no voice in disarmament debate can come together and agree on one simple statement about the need to stop producing, testing and deploying more nuclear weapons.

The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
