Domestic violence occurs in all walks of life. Women are not only abused badly but some are beaten to death. This film looks at indivual cases of physical, sexual and emotional abuse, and explores the feelings of both victims and abusers and the help available to a family in crisis provided by shelters, state homes and anger control programmes in North America. Designed to stimulate thoughtful discussion, this programme shows how both the victim and the abuser can understand and cope with feelings of pain and anger and begin to make intelligent choices concerning the future.
