The arena of the circus is used to introduce a classification of movement, with two clowns raising questions concerning definition and ambiguity. A method of movement analysis is offered through a close look at the “jump”, in athletics, cricket, dance, football, gymnastics, netball, swimming and Karate. Notes available with this programme.
