In 1982 the TUC organised a concert for unemployed people.

Description

In November 1982 the TUC organised a concert for unemployed people, Taking part were Tom Robinson, The Beat, Black Slate, OK Jive and Alexei Sayle. As well as a record of the concert, the film gives the angry and disillusioned young people a chance to say how they see unemployment politically, as a strategy for human wastage rather than a natural ill, and this is set in a historical context of economic exploitation in Britain.

This film is of historical interest but the issues raised are still current.
