Documentary in the Just William series which looks at the Interim Secure Unit in Kent. A similar unit is to be sited in Hellingly in Sussex, and people’s hostile reactions are contrasted to the reality of such a unit.
Made in 1984 this film reflects the cultural attitudes and language of the time it was made. The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards. But the issues raised are timeless.
