These films are about the events of the first two years of human life, starting right at the beginning, almost nine months before birth, and moving through to the time when the growing infant stands on his own two feet. However, they are as much about parental experiences of pregnancy, childbirth and look after a baby, as they are about growth and develoopment of the child, made as part of the “Facts for life” – For fifteen year-olds and over, these are also quite suitable for adult audiences.

Part 3 looks at how some babies are at home and the film looks at the home confinement together with some of the more complicated procedures which some births necessitate – such as forceps delivery and the Caesarian operation. It goes on to consider the relative merits of breast and bottle feeeding.

The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
