Description

Energy Carol

A cartoon about spirits: the spirits of energy past, present and future. Future energy takes Ebenezer on a tour of tomorrow’s world. He comes back a  shaken man. “There’s still time,” says Future Energy, “if you’re willing to change”. “I’ll change” shouts Ebenezer. A humourous film about things not so humourous. It’s about us, the way we live and what the future may hold. 1975 – 22 mins

Harness the Wind

Faced with the depletion of fossil fuels and the hazards of nuclear power, this animated history of wind generators is very pertinent to the current energy debate. It shows the refinements of windmill and many designs now available. The method of energy production is not only versatile but will last until the world ends for “as long as sun shines, the wind will be available”. 1978 – 12 minutes

The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
