Description

Beeban Kidron and Amanda Richardson spent seven months filming at the women’s peace camp. The film covers the main actions during this period from December, 1982 to June 1983. It also covers more private action as well as showing the daily life of the camp and the difficulties of seeking and establishing new values and ways of living. It is not so much about Cruise Missiles as about women’s struggle to create a non-hierarchical community committed to the ideals of non-violence. “Carry Greenham Home” is also about feelings: feelings of anger, sadness and love but throughout the film there are also moments of joy and laughter.
