Description

Catholic Peace Action is a small affinity group whose peace campaigning has led to all ten of its members being arrested and nine imprisoned. The group includes a hospital consultant, a former magistrate now living in Greenham Common, a nun, parents of two young children and a theology student. As they go about their separate lives, they tell of how they came o join the group and why they are so convinced that the mere posession of nuclear weapons is immoral. Then, against a backdrop of one of their protests outside the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall (which led to eight arrests), they talk about wther they are trying to provoke division in the Roman Catholic church, why they break the law and why they elect to go to prison.

The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
