These include specialised agencies (Alcoholic Treatment Unit, Detoxicification Centre, and a community based Information Centre run by a Council on Alcoholism), also general facilties such as a psychiatric ward, G.Ps., etc. The film allows the patients of clients to speak for themselves in relation to their needs.
This film made in 1980 reflects the medical understanding and treatment and language of the time it was made. The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for archival use.
