Description
A portrait of the former Soviet Union painted by seven-year-old children from the length and breadth of the USSR. At a time of breathtaking and devastating political and economic change, how do Soviet children view their society? We meet children from three republics as well as from Russia itself. The result is a fascinating and illuminating glimpse of contemporary Soviet childhood and Soviet life. The intention is to return in seven years time. Directed by Michael Apted, who worked on the original ‘Seven Up’ series.
This film is of historical interest and reflects the cultural attitudes and language of the time it was made.
