Description
A satirical tour of the Moscow Kremlin, seat of power of the Soviet government. This was made in the years just before the breakup of the Soviet Union. A younger Boris Yeltsin is the idol of the turbulent masses (who don’t know how he will later become a puppet of the oligarchs). There are contrasts between the present and the past. The queues for the newly opened McDonalds are greater than that to visit Lenin on Red Square. Gorbachev gets booed at the May Day parade and there are outbursts of anger at the KGB.
