Description

The story of the nuclear train and the Agape community. The train bearing atomic warheads, equivalent to 1,500 Hiroshimas, travels across America, and is met with opposition all along the tracks. This video documents the arrival of the White Train at the naval weapons base in Bangor, Washington. The film makers say “We have increasingly realised our complicity with violence in the world and our responsibility as citizens of the world to seek a path by which we and the world may survive and, at last, be free of that violence in a time in which humanity prepares for suicide at the end of its long chain of warfare. That path has led directly to non-violence.” The message is one of hope – that there is a way to live and act in peace, that love is more powerful among human beings than bombs and that, through a community of non-violence and love of creation, we can begin to build a world of peace.
