Description
An introduction to some of the problems facing young people leaving residential children’s homes at the age of 18, and of the adults working with them. This film has been made to heighten the awareness of those who have to consider these problems. It is particularly suitable for showing to local authority councillors, to students on courses, to residential workers in training, and to young people in care themselves. It expresses the views not only of concerned adults but also of young people themselves.
This film is of historical interest and reflects the cultural attitudes, procedures and language of the time it was made. But the issues raised are timeless.
