Description

Although rape is the most serious crime in the book, other than murder, it arouses highly ambivalent attitudes in society at large. The film traces the story of one girl who was raped, from the scene of the crime to the end of the trial. The programme raises many disturbing questions about the 1970’s societal attitudes towards rape and what happens when a girl decides to face up to a court case which, in effect, becomes a trial of her as much as of her assailant.
