Description

We look at various outside agencies which may be able to provide help to parents of children with learning disabilities – and to the children themselves. included in the programme are toy libraries, financial assistance, holiday relief schemes, riding, swimming and finally parents groups. We see the activities of one parent’s group which range from a nursery, concert group, youth club, to parents’ meetings. A strong plea is made is made to all parents to get in touch with their local parents’ group.

This film made in 1977 reflects the cultural attitudes and language of the time it was made. The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards. But the issues raised are still relevent to today.
