Description

Food hygiene is understood by many to be a question of keeping food fresh and clean, and perhaps by the professional food handlers as a matter of following a list of rules and regulations. This film, by explaining the life histories and habits of food poisoning bacteria in a way that is easily understood, shows why these precautions are taken. It goes on to show how bacteria can enter the kitchen, the ways in which they can be spread around, and when they can become dangerous. The film is directed at catering workers, information to the principles of food hygiene. If we know why we have to take such precautions, their application becomes a matter of common sense.

The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
