Description

In three one-hour episodes.

Episode 1: You Cannot Call this Peace: Begins by exposing the lie that “nuclear weapons have kept the peace for 40 years”. This film suggests that world war three is not an apocalypse waiting to beset us but has in fact been taking place since 1945. Filmed in El Salvador, Vietnam and Eritrea.

Episode 2: A Different Way of Dying: This begins in Nicaragua and explains how President Reagan wrongly perceived Nicaraguans to be agents of Soviet expansion. Likewise in the middle east the US gave the go-ahead for Israel to invade the Lebanon.

Episode 3: A Stupid Way of Doing Business: exposes the real reasons behind the developed nations’ apparent addiction to the arms industry. Filmed in Eritrea, Mozambique, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Demonstrates the links between arms and aid, war and famine, humanitarian relief and geopolitics.
