Description
A middle-aged man and his wife are reading a suicide note. It is from their daughter, and it describes her despair and her wish to die. She breaks down and weeps bitterly. We travel back seven months in time. There are many stories that could be told about suicide. This is the story of one family. This film aims to raise awareness and initiate discussion about the issue of female suicide in South-Asian communities, to encourage better communication within families, and to promote agencies (clinical, spiritual, therapeutic) that can support people under stress. It is aimed at a whole family audience and is suitable for use in schools, colleges, community centres, religious settings etc.
The drama is available in Bengali (Sylheti). It runs for approximately 58 minutes and has English subtitles.
