The film covers: the main characteristics of depression, the signs and symptoms, changes, circumstances and life’s crisis points which may lead to depression, the cumulative aspects of depression and suicide, the issues of hospitalisation, the role of the family and the use of community resources, how the depressed person can be helped, and practical guidelines for the helping person.
