Description

The use of swimming as a therapeutic medium with short stay psychiatric patients: the OT department organises a weekly outing by train to the local swimming pool. The aims are to develop responsibility and initiative, to increase confidence in travelling, to improve mobility and facilitate relaxation, to increase confidence and self esteem, to encourage socialisation and to maintain links with the community.
