A journalist comes across a confidential Government paper concerning a major, but controversial, trade deal for Britain. The Government asks for its publication to be delayed. The Bounds of Freedom was named the Best Documentary Series of 1979 by Britain’s Royal Television Society, and this part, Official Information, was a finalist in the 1980 International Emmy Awards.
