Description
In 1991 Joe Viszmeg was diagnosed with adrenal cancer and told he had less than a year to live. In 1995 he made the film in My Own Time, a richly-life affirming film. He has tried a wide range of treatments, combining conventional medicine with alternative practices – Native American sweat lodges, acrobiotic diets and various forms of meditation. His brave sense of humour has helped him over numerous hurdles, and he expresses deep gratitude for the loving support of his wife Rachel, and teenage daughter Stella. (Joe Viszmeg died in late 1999).
