Description

An introduction to a new scheme supported by the Leonard Cheshire Foundation. The scheme, called Family Support Services, offers part time, trained help to handicapped people and families with a disabled member who wish to remain in their own homes. The programme shows how disabled people have benefitted from the service that care attendants can offer at crucial times of the day. On lady, for example, has been saved from hospitalisation simply because she has help to get up and go to bed. The rest of the day she can manage alone.
