Description
Portraits of two lives which have changed very radically, from being hidden away from society to being as independent as possible. Pauline, a woman of 42 with learning disabilities, tells her own story, and that of Martin, who has physical disabilities as well, is told by his mother, who struggled against inappropriate attitudes and treatment before Martin was able to leave the hospital and live in the community.
Made in 1990 this film reflects the cultural attitudes and language of the time it was made. The issues raised are timeless. The film quality may not be to modern standards.
