Description

Poverty in Britain today has reached crisis proportions. About one in seven children are brought up on supplementary benefits. That means £1.30 a day for all the normal needs of a 10 year old. Meanwhile, the gap between rich and poor is growing. Tax cuts for top tax payers: benefits cuts for the poor. CPAG looks at our society today (where 5% of the population still owns 45% of the wealth) to find out who really gets the benefits and who pays the price.
