Description

The stripping of Papua New Guinea’s forests is accelerating. Tradtional land ownership means people can often still make decisions at village level about the future, but too often these decisions have been based only on the promises and propaganda of the logging companies themselves. This video gives the opportunity ordinary people in different parts of the country to voice their experiences to each other, in the hope the same lessons do not have to be learnt the hard way every time … Sponsored by Christian Aid and other agencies. English subtitles.

The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
