Second of a series of five programmes showing average developmental progress of specific children. Fine and gross motor development, vision and hearing tests, development of speech and language. Equipment used comes from the Stycar Assessment Systems. Dr Maureen Cunningham explains to the mother of a six month old little boy the normal actions of reaching and grasping, and the beginnings of vocalisation.
This film is of historical interest and reflects the cultural attitudes and language of the time it was made. But the issues raised may be timeless. The picture quality is below current expectations.
