The film explains the role of each member of the care team and attempts to increase awareness of community services and facilities. It also encourages the participation of local communities in the activities of geriatric units. Produced by the Royal College of Nursing’s society of geriatric nursing, and suitable for showing the elderly people themselves, and those caring for them.
This film made in 1984 reflects the medical understanding and treatment and language of the time it was made. The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for archival use.
