Description
Made in 1978, since then multi-nationals have grown bigger. This film shows a study of multi-national corporations, with particular reference to South America. They have huge power over jobs in particular localities, even, in the case of small to medium countries, over the national economy. They very often work together with military governments, and, as happened to Chile, contribute substantially to the removal of governments which are not “convenient” for them. Their power does not always benefit their workers in their home countries as is shown by several examples in this film.
The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
