This short film made at Michael Sobell House, Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood seeks to demonstrate the value of Day Care facilities for patients suffering from advanced malignant disease. A Day Centre is shown as a simple and economic way of providing service which will enable more patients to be nursed at home, avoiding the necessity of hospital admission. The film is primarily directed at groups wishing to provide Palliative Care for terminally ill patients and is suitable for both professional and lay audiences.
