In Britain someone has a stroke every five minutes. This video provides an insight into stroke disease using a blend of live images and computer generated 3D animation. It describes the brain’s blood supply, explains what causes a stroke and looks at the effects on the rest of the body. Other subjects covered are prevention, highlighting the risk factors and suggesting ways of reducing the chances of having a stoke, diagnostic tests and treatment, both short and long term.
