Description
Provides a general introduction to the stress of caring for an older person who has an illness or disability which means they are likely to need help for some considerable time. Practical information is provided by carers and professionals on real life issues, and several families are shown. There is an introduction to the theoretical understanding of stress, followed by practical and manageable tips on how to cope, many of which are provided by carers themselves. As well as helping carers directly, the video will also provide GP’s and other health and social care providers with an insight into the real needs and problems faced by thousands of carers in their everyday lives.
