Women of the Intibuca

£25.00

Women in Honduras speak about their poverty and isolation.

Description

A tape/slide programme on DVD which looks at what an organisation of Indian women in Honduras think about the poverty and isolation that confront them. The women present their ideas for combating this situation through re-education and improved organisation. The audio-visual does not aim to make statements or provide answers. Instead it provokes questions and discussion about women in the Third World, questions which must relate also to those building up their own organisations here in the west.
Made in 1985 this film reflects the cultural attitudes and language of the time it was made. The issues raised are timeless. The film quality may not be to modern standards.
