Description
Oxfam commissioned the British Asian theatre group Tamasha, and writer Ruth Carter, to go to India and research a play which would reflect the lives of the Rajasthani women who migrate from their villages in the dry season to work on construction sites in the city. By combining scenes from India and the play taking shape in Hammersmith, the film raises important questions about development issues.
