Description
A reconstruction of an actual case of a severely distressed woman with a drinking problem. Her GP and her husband want her admitted too a mental hospital, but the psychiatrist takes the controversial view that often the negative experience of being a mental patient can be worse than the actual illness, and deals with the case in a different way. Thus the tension and responsibility are brought out and the film acts as a focus for professional people to discuss the many difficult issues that such situations give rise to.
