Description

Narrated by television and radio personality Gloria Hunniford, the film tells the story of Rebecca Powell, a four-year-old with severe eczema. She is a normal, energetic little girl who enjoys ballet lessons and school, but sometimes the soreness, dryness and irritation of her skin makes it impossible for her to walk, let alone dance. The film also shows the drastic effects that this distressing condition can have on adult sufferers’ lives, and includes interviews with two specialists.

Made in 1984 this film reflects the cultural attitudes of the country and language of the time it was made. Treatment has improved since 1984. The film quality may not be to modern standards.
