Description

The programme deals largely with the problems of the cerebal palsied child. An interview with a paediatrician explains the cause and problems and a physiotherapist demonstrated the correct handling of a child and how to undertake everyday physiotherapy at home. The programme ends with a look at a resource centre where a variety of mobility, sitting and feeding aids are shown.

This film made in 1977 reflects the cultural attitudes and language of the time it was made. The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards. But the issues raised are still relevent to today.
