The Psychology of the Latency Years - Part 2
DVD1990 56 Minutes
Four children. 6 - 11, from Ireland, Uganda and Australia talk
The four children range in ages from 6 to 11 years and come from Northern Ireland, Uganda and Australia. The factors demonstrated are similar to those in part 1, although with clearer demonstrations of the influence of culture on attitudes and expectations. Sibling rivalries are both powerful and apparently relatively minor. Bad dreams are both feared and excitingly enjoyed. Attitudes to parents (some with a competitive edge ) are also shown.
