Description

Kevin a 16-year-old boy was, with a friend, the subject of a totally unprovoked violent physical attack from other adolescents. He describes in detail the event, what it was like and what happened subsequently. He then relates what his life was like for the subsequent year, sharing his fears, his reluctance to leave the home, his desire to blend into the background and not look anyone in the face.

He analyses the attitudes of other people both toward the event and his attitude toward it, examining responses of the police, hospital staff, school teachers, the legal profession and his family. The physical attack was emotionally shattering and substantial scars remain a year later. This film provides valuable and moving insights into the psychology of being a victim of violence.
